Covid & Vaccination

Australia is one of the countries that managed well.

Booking your appointment for vaccine at :-

Common reactions to COVID-19 vaccination include:

  • pain where you had the injection
  • tiredness
  • muscle aches
  • headache
  • fever and chills
  • joint pain.

My experience:-

  1. Got reminder after booking the appointment over SMS & E-mail
  2. It is better to call the support center if no reminders are received
  3. Had to wait in queue even though the appointment was booked
  4. Keep your medicare card ( Health care card) and driver's license ready at the venue of vaccination
  5. Scan the QR code at venue to check-in
  6. After the vaccination, we were asked to wait in a hall for 15 minutes
  7. Overall it took 1 hour excluding the commuting to venue
  8. if no issues reported, we could leave the venue after booking the next dose

Side Effects:-

first dose-

  1. Many could drive after vaccination.
  2. I parked my car at train station & took public transport.
  3. Pain started in arm after 2-3 hours
  4. Pain increased gradually and lasted for 24 hours
  5. After 24 hours, started getting congestion & head ache
  6. I did not take any medicines but took rest & steam inhalation
  7. Government advises to contact GP ( Doctor) if the side effects persist even after 3 days
  8. I did not work on the 3rd day & was fine in 3 days

Second dose-
  1. I booked for a date after 21 days of gap.
  2. Commuting on train took long time & realised that it was not a good idea.
  3. Similar symptoms like first dose with sore arm  in first 24 hours
  4. to prevent headache & congestion, I started taking "Steam inhalation" even before vaccination
  5. After 24 hours, started feeling feverish
  6. Still I did not take any medicines but took rest
  7. Applied Sick Leave for the third day well in advance & had notified my team
  8. I was fine in 3 days
